                                             Pick 5 privileges that affect you or of which you were unaware.
                                             Write a short response to the article about why you picked those
                                             5 privileges

Wed, 3/25            LIT          Read pages 37 - 51 in Purple Hibiscus twice.
                                             Be prepared for a quiz.
                                             Bring in three points to discuss.

Thurs, 3/26           RCG        Read "Pride, Prejudice and the Not-So-Subtle Politics of the
                                              Working Class" and "The Incredibly Shrinking Working Class,"
                                               pages 31-35 in Social Class Textbook.
                                               Answer these question (not from the article).
                                                  1.  What percentage of the U.S. population is working class?
                                                  2.  How does this compare to the population of Atlanta?
                                                  3.  What is the average salary of a working class person?
                                                  4.  What is the difference between working class and service class
                                                        jobs?

                             RCG        Class in the class: Answer these questions:
                                              1.  How do you try to impress the people in the class?
                                              2.  What are you covering up? What is your vulnerability?
                                              3.  What are you afraid could happen if you don't cover up?

                             WTG:      Begin to revise your story.  Revision due Friday, April 3.
